On Balance and Becoming

I’m currently in a season of transition.
As a business owner, licensed therapist, career woman, follower of Christ, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend, there are a lot of roles I hold, and at times, they all speak at once.
Each one matters to me deeply. And yet, holding them all requires a kind of balance I was never fully taught how to practice. Maybe you weren’t either. We often speak of balance like it’s a destination, a formula you arrive at and then stay in forever.
But lately, I’m learning that balance isn’t rigid or fixed. It shifts with us. It requires ongoing attention, tenderness, and self-evaluation.
The truth is there’s no one size fits all rhythm for how to “do it all.” And there’s no shame in needing to refocus, re-center, or rest.
Every new season whether it brings expansion or rest, uncertainty or breakthrough, asks us to check in:
Who am I now?
What do I need?
Where am I going, and why?
For me, balance in this moment doesn’t look like doing everything perfectly. It looks like listening inward more often. It looks like asking for help. It looks like grace.
It’s a process and it’s sacred.
If you find yourself in this place too: caught between all you carry and all you’re becoming, I hope you know that you’re not behind. You’re in motion. You’re in alignment. And you’re not alone.
Keep checking in with yourself.
Keep giving yourself permission to evolve.
Balance isn’t the end goal, being well is
xoxo Candace
